1. What are some of the things I’ll need when purchasing a new home?

You will need a pre-approved letter from your lender stating your approved loan amount. As a courtesy and upon request, we can provide a list of lenders that can assist you with your loan.  If you own your own land we will need copies of the environmental permits if applicable to determine well, septic and any excavation costs. Making sure your property lines are marked will help prevent any unnecessary blunders. Our goal is to make your new home purchase a smooth and enjoyable process so please do not hesitate to ask us any questions you may have. We want you to recommend us to all of your friends and family and we are prepared to earn that trust starting with you!

2. Do I need to own land for my new home?

No.  If you don’t already own land for your new home, Carolina Custom Homes of Burlington will work with you and your real estate agent to insure the property you chose will be suitable for your new home.

3. Is the construction of a modular home different than a home built onsite?

Unlike site-built homes, which can take many months if not years to complete, our modular construction reduces build time by over 35%. Quicker construction time can save you money and reduce some of the stress of building your new home. And because most modular construction can be completed in less time than site built, the cost of interim construction financing is significantly reduced or eliminated.  In the plant, modules pass through numerous internal and third party building inspections at all phases of production.  Modular homes meet or exceed all Federal, State, and Local Regulation Codes. Our Custom Homes come standard with 2×6 side walls allowing for energy efficient R-19 insulation.  Our roofs contain TechShield Sheathing which in most cases reduces attic temperature by up to 30 degrees! Our Carolina Custom Modular homes are smarter and more energy efficient way to build.

4. What are some of the other advantages of Modular Home Construction?

There are many other advantages to Modular Home Construction. Cost is a major factor. You’ll get much more home for your money. Time is another important reason. Your home will be constructed anywhere between 1 -3 months. Last, but certainly not least, is quality.  In a controlled environment there is more control of the material used for the building of your new home, which provides superior construction. Your home will never be subject to the elements such as rain, snow, and ice ensuring a tight, energy efficient home.

5. I noticed many different floor plans on your site. Are they customizable?

If you have specific needs, we’ll be glad to discuss those options with you.  If you have already found a floor plan you love elsewhere, please bring it and we will be glad to quote it for you.
